Thursday, June 18, 1998 was the CDI (CrossDressers International) 'Prom'.
I haven't ventured out 'en femme' in about five years. Most of the time,
I wind up looking somewhere in between, which is fine as far as I'm
concerned. Anyway, I felt it was time to try something like this and so
that's what I did.

The event was held at Androgyny a transgender club in
Soho, New York. It's a cosy (small) place and easy to miss walking down
the street. Keeping a low profile help keep the undesirable types out.
As it was my first time out in this type of setting, I was a bit unsure
of what to expect. Once inside, I found the other attendees to be quite
friendly and I had a pretty good time.

I've become friendly with Joann Percy, a regular on the fashion and
support crossdressing newsgroups. As she was also attending, I wasn't
there all on my own. It made things a bit easier. Thanks Joann!

This is me with Ralph. Ralph was there with two other 'guys' checking
things out. Yes, even girls can crossdress. I think he looks pretty
good!
